About Us
WELCOME TO FACERE INSTITUTE.
Facere Institute of Fashion Designing was set up by the founder on July 2008. It was started up in the intention to impart the educational facilities to the public in the district of Kannur. Our institute has recognized by Department of Technical Education under Govt.of Kerala, and also the study center of GITD (Global Institute Of Textile Designing), ARMS Education and STED (Scientific And Technical Education Development) council. This institute was started just with two class rooms and four machines and a seating capacity of 20, now it stands with four class rooms and 18 machines and a seating capacity of 100 within a short span. 'Facere' as it means we are here to make rather create students who can flourish themselves with our training, where we are particular in recognizing their own skills and focusing on to the development.
PROJECTS DONE
- 25 Days of training was given for 20 members in pattern making and garment construction during 2011 – 2012 in Chembilode Grama Panchayath as part of JANAKIYAASOOTHERANA PROJECT. They are all placed in the apparel unit of Chembilode Grama Panchayath
- 90 days of training was given for 10 persons in pattern making and garment construction during 2013- 2014 in Edakad block Panchayath [project no S0051/14]. They will be starting up a tailoring unit on April 2014.
- One month Training was given for 150 candidates in tailoring and basic fashion designing 2019-2020 under Kudumbasree District Mission
- 10 days training was given for 35 candidates in day care 2020 under Kudumbasree District Mission
- 15 days training was given for 25 candidates in Hand embroidery during 2022 under Kudumbasree District Mission
- 25 days training was given for 27 candidates in Beauty Therapy during 2022 under Kudumbasree District Mission
PROGRAMMES CONDUCTED
- An Exhibition and sale of self made products was conducted on 2009 may by the students as a part of their curriculum at Gokulam Auditorium
- A district level fashion show “ facere 2010 designer hunt” was conducted at Gokulam Auditorium on 2010 may.
- An exhibition of products was conducted as a part of project implemented by Facere on april 2012 at Chembilode Grama Panchayath Office.
- An Exhibition was conducted as a part of Kudumbasree 25 varshikam on july 2013 at Anjarakandy higher secondary school.
- An Exhibition was conducted as a part of Kudumbasree 25 varshikam on july 2013 at vengad Grama Panchayath Office Auditorium.

Timings
Timings of the course is 6 hours everyday except sundays and other festival / National holidays which includes 3 hours theory and 3 hours practical.
Eligibility
Canditates who have passed plus two are eligible for admission to Diploma courses and SSLC with tailoring experience can apply for short term courses.
Duration
Diploma courses are of two years, one year and six months duration with four terms and second term respectively wherein 1 term training is provided.Short term courses are three months duration.
Faculty
Experts having good academic record in Textile and Fashion field with sufficient industrial experience have been appointed by the institute.
Location
The institute is located in the happening place of chakkarakal.It is at the Gokulam Auditorium, Hospitel Road, Chakkarakal.
